# Download

Let's get the big one out of the way: there is no official Super Smash Bros. download for PC, Android, or iPhone. Not Ultimate, not any other entry. Smash is a Nintendo console series, and every site offering a "Smash Bros APK," a "Smash Ultimate PC download," or a "free Smash Bros mobile" file is bait. Those downloads are one of the oldest malware tricks in gaming — you get an installer full of adware or worse, and no game.

The two real ways to get Smash Bros. Ultimate

Ultimate is a Nintendo Switch game, and there are exactly two official routes. First, the digital version from Nintendo eShop: the button on this page takes you to the official Nintendo store listing for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where you can buy it and download it straight to your Switch. Second, a physical game card from any normal game retailer — put the cartridge in and play, no big download at all.

Either way you need a Nintendo Switch. There is no version that runs on a phone or a Windows PC, and Nintendo has never released one. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling something, and it isn't the game.

What about emulators?

You'll see emulator sites woven into those same download pages. An emulator file paired with a "free ROM" of Ultimate is not an official download — it's an unauthorised copy of a game Nintendo still sells, bundled by strangers who also chose what else went into the installer. Whatever your view on emulation, downloading a current commercial game this way is piracy, and the files themselves are a common malware carrier. This site won't point you at them.

Extras, once you own it

The Fighters Pass DLC — the extra fighters and stages sold after launch — also comes through Nintendo eShop on the Switch itself. Same rule as the base game: official store or nothing.

So the honest download page for Smash is a short one: buy it on the official Nintendo store page linked here, or buy the cartridge. Everything else with a download button is lying to you.
