Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what information supersmashbros.online collects when you visit, and how it's used. Short version: we collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
Like nearly every website, our server logs record basic technical details when you visit — your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. We use this only to keep the site running and to understand which guides people read most. We don't sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for marketing.
Comments and discussions
If you post a comment, whatever you write — your display name and comment text — is stored and shown publicly on the site. Don't post personal information like your email address, phone number, or real name in comments. Anything you publish there is visible to everyone.
Cookies
We may use basic cookies to remember site preferences. We don't use advertising trackers or cross-site profiling. If embedded content (such as videos) is ever added, those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Analytics
We look at aggregate, anonymized traffic statistics — which pages get the most visits, roughly where visitors come from — to decide what to write next. This data can't identify you personally and is never combined with anything that could.
Data retention and your rights
Server logs rotate automatically and aren't kept indefinitely. Published comments stay up unless you ask us to remove them — request removal through the community discussions and we'll handle it. We don't build profiles, we don't do behavioral advertising, and there's no account system on this site, so there's no personal data sitting in a database waiting to be breached.
Third-party services
This site runs on standard web hosting. Our hosting provider processes traffic data on our behalf as part of serving the pages. We don't integrate social-media trackers, ad networks, or third-party analytics beacons.
Children
This site is a general-audience game guide and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents: if your child posts personal details in a comment, contact us through the community discussions and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
